In 2006, Helene Blowers in the PLCMC library in the States developed an interactive learning program for her library, titled “23 Things”. This original program is linked here, and has been picked up around the world by more than 200 libraries! This “Learning 2.0″ program is based on the original “23 Things”, though we have expanded it to encompass teaching as well as library applications.

In early 2008 a small team, including Janet Martin, Librarian, and Danny Munnerley, Instructional Designer, adapted the “23 Things” program for both library staff and teaching faculty at Zayed University. The ZU program won the UAE 2008 Educational IT Award.

This “23Things.info” site is a further adaption of the Zayed University incarnation, as most offerings to a new community of learners will be. Credit for content, inspiration and hard work to create this “23 Things” site and program go to Danny Munnerley, Stephanie Schmitt, Karen Joc and Janet Martin.
