What will I learn?
1. Summarize the content and course of this program. What has been learned?
2. Evaluation of “Learning 2.0″ including a final online survey
Summary
Web 2.0 is all about people - the revolution in the way people create, edit, search, evaluate, organize and share information. Web 2.0 is characterized by networked communities in which users contribute content, interact, and collaborate. As educators we need to meet students where they are, to use new technologies to cater to different learning styles easily, and to teach them using applications that are becoming every day life in journalism, business, politics and the modern world of work. Libraries worldwide are becoming socialized institutions - taking information to users in the time and place that they need it, and in a format that they can have input into it. We have to rethink what we provide, how we provide it, and how users can be more involved in all of this.
Are we ready?
Congratulations to all participants in this program!!
We have all spent time to gain an understanding of Web 2.0 applications, such as blogs, wikis, podcasts, social networking and more. Few of us will be experts at the end of this program, but we should now have a good basis to start with, and a better understanding of where to go next! … and where to next? Well, perhaps this ‘community of learners’ could get their heads together to decide and create what this will be…..

Evaluation of “Learning 2.0″
Before finishing, we ask for one last post. For your last and final exercise for this program please reflect on your learning journey and post a few thoughts. Here are some questions to prompt you if you’re drawing a blank …
- What were your favorite discoveries or exercises on this learning journey?
- How has this program assisted or affected your lifelong learning goals?
- Were there any take-aways or unexpected outcomes from this program that surprised you?
- What could we do differently to improve upon this program’s format or concept? And last but not least…
- If we offered another discovery program like this in the future, would you again chose to participate?
As well as sharing your thoughts with everyone, please click here and complete the final user survey. All results will be shared with everyone.
Is this the end, or just the beginning?
