1. What is 2.0 all about?
A good place to start, of course, is Wikipedia: Web 2.0 basically refers to the use of software applications which enable participation and interactivity by all users of the Web. The different software enable content exchange, collaboration and communication not previously available, in a variety of formats for information delivery (e.g. textual, audio, visual). It is heralded as a ‘harnessing of collective intelligence‘, or the real ‘democratisation of information exchange‘ that was envisaged when the Internet was first developed.

Hi, I don’t always get the link at the bottom of the page to ‘Post a Comment’. However, if I click on the ‘No Comments’ link I can post a reply. I am just checking to see if this works.
Although very interesting I found it hard navigating the Web 2.0 directory. I couldn’t click on all of the tags so couldn’t search for my own interests but I browsed and I liked Amazon’s windowshop.com. There is so much there I need more time to explore this.

I’m already using PageFlakes http://www.pageflakes.com/ as my opening page. I am going to spend a bit of time exploring Google docs and Delicious. Will get back with comments later.
By the way, has anyone used either of these?
Thanks
